Julie Stafford’s ability to talk with anyone about just about anything has served her well in her 20 year career in marketing and public relations. Her love of music landed her first job as an account executive/copywriter for classical radio stations. Her love of fashion launched a rewarding 11 years with Leggett Department Stores (now part of Belk) as copywriter, media buyer and broadcast producer, then regional sales promotion director, managing the in-house ad agency. Her passion for theatre resulted in her serving as director of marketing and public relations for Virginia Stage Company. She now manages her own consulting business serving a varied client base of both for profits and non profits such as the Virginia Waterfront International Arts Festival, the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, and Hilltop N.E.W. Merchants Association. She also freelances for high profile firms including Coastal Video and Dayton Hudson Corporation. Julie joins the Ethicom team bringing her wit and talent to serve our clients’ PR strategies, coordination, conceptual, and writing needs. Convinced her best ideas come to her while consuming Southern fiction on the beach, Julie, her husband and their yellow Lab head for Ocracoke as often as time and weather allow. |
